The FAQ

What's your approach to wedding/couples photography?

When we come accross a tree in a forest, we don't criticize it for being too short, too crooked, or not green enough. My approach is to capture your natural beauty and help shine a light on the love that you share and that radiates from within.

As a wedding and couples photographer, I strive to capture your unique love stories in a candid and authentic way, highlighting the love and joy that surrounds you in your natural environment. I aim to provide you with stunning, timeless memories that you can cherish for years to come.

How far in advance do we need to book?

I accept bookings up to 9 months in advance. I understand (and relate with!) the importance of flexibility and spontaneity, and I strive to accommodate any necessary adjustments or changes that may arise during the planning process.

Are engagement photos included in your packages?

An engagement shoot is available as a separate add-on in my pricing structure. I also provide it a discounted price for those who choose me as their wedding photographer. This way, couples can enjoy the added benefit of capturing moments leading up to their wedding day through an additional intimate photography session.

Can you tentatively hold a date for us?

All dates are available on a first come, first served basis. Your reservation becomes official when both a contract and a retainer have been submitted.

Do we get all the photos?

I am a firm believer that every photo captured on a wedding day holds special meaning. I've also found that everyone has different beliefs on what images or angles they consider most flattering, and I want to give you access to those memories for you to treasure. I'll provide you with every single photo that meets the standards for delivery, ensuring that they are well-lit, not duplicate, and flattering.

Throughout the day, I do an initial culling process directly on my camera, so I can efficiently select the best shots as I go. While there may be a few photos that, upon review, do not make the final cut, I do not withhold photos arbitrarily. Each decision is based on a valid reason, with the aim to provide you with the highest quality images.

Do you only shoot outdoors?

My style lends itself best to outdoor photography, as it allows me to use natural lighting to play with contrasts and capture warm tones. However, I am also experienced in indoor photography and can adapt to different lighting environments.

I would love to discuss your specific preferences and vision for our photo sessions. Whether it's an outdoor or indoor location, I will provide recommendations so we can explore the best options together.

Are you the photographer who will be shooting my wedding?

Yes, absolutely! Sometimes I work with second shooters, but I will always be the primary photographer at your wedding.

Do you bring a second photographer?

Second photographers are available as an add-on to all of my wedding photography packages, depending on your wedding day plans and needs. There are benefits to having a second photographer, such as providing additional coverage, perspectives, and support on your big day. That said, I am very comfortable shooting weddings solo and have shot most weddings on my own. The decision will ultimately come down to the details of your wedding, your preferences, and budget.

Do you travel?

Yes, I travel between the islands and also to the continental U.S. Travel fees will be subject to separate pricing.

How long after our wedding do we have to wait to get our photos?

A sneak peek will be sent to you within 48 hours of your wedding.

My contract stipulates a maximum of 60 days for delivery of your full gallery, but I always strive to deliver wedding galleries within two to four weeks of your wedding date.

How will we receive our photos?

Once your photos are ready, you will receive a link to a password protected online gallery that contains all of the finished photos in high-quality for you to view, download, and share. Printing can also be done directly through the gallery.

How many photos should we expect?

There are various factors that influence the final number of photos captured that makes it difficult to provide an exact figure. In a wedding, the size of the party, the number of guests, the time allotment, the number of locations involved, the number of photographers, and the travel time between locations all contribute to the overall count.

A standard wedding will typically yield 400-600 photos. Please note that this range is indicative and can vary based on the specific circumstances and unique specifications of your wedding day.

What type of payments do you accept?

I accept credit and debit card, Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle.

How do we print our images?

You have full printing rights for all of the images I deliver, and you may use whatever vendor you would like to print them. Printing can also be done directly through the online gallery portal.

How long have you been doing this?

I started photographing weddings in 2015 as a second shooter. After a few years of second shooting, I started photographing weddings on my own and have loved it ever since!

Will you be posting images of our wedding on your website, Instagram, etc.?

Yes, I may share some of your images in my portfolio. If this is an issue for you, please let me know when you book.
